DIY - 10 Homemade Body Scrubs

Hello Lovelies,

First of all I would like to wish all my fellow Sri Lankans a Happy Sinhala Hindu New year.
I hope the coming year will be full of love and prosperity.

Coming back at today's post it's all about scrubs! yeah! Am I the only one who get this happy sensation when somebody says body scrubs?

I absolutely love scrubs of any kind specially the ones you can make at home. :D

There are so many benefits of using a body scrub in regular bases,
 - It will exfoliate your skin
 - Give your skin a glow
 - Encourage the natural flow of circulation of bodily fluids
 - Improve anti-ageing and cellulite
 - It will help you relax
 - Give skin hydration
 - Help to fade dark spots

If I could go on I could I mean stay at home spa? who wouldn't want that..

So here are the top ten favourite body scrubs of mine. I have tried many of them.

To a FAQ I don't know the shelf life of these scrubs. I always make a small batch enough for a week and store mine in a dry cold place where there's no direct sunlight.

Hope everybody had/having a awesome weekend.
See you guys on my next post..

♒ DIY kool-aid hair dye & DIY hair lightening ♒

Hello ladies, :)

Hope everybody is keeping there well. So today with hair talk.
I'm sure at least once in a life time you have colored your hair..right?
There are hair color with various chemicals out there, but here I have a chemical free way to get any color you desire.

*A quick little note, if you have black or dark hair this method won't really give a pigmented color. So to achieve a high pigmented color you can lighten your hair with this method,

Hair lightening

you'll need,

- Lemon or lime juice
- Sun light

1. Squeeze half of a lemon or lime in to a small bowl.
2. Part your hair, and add your lemon juice on strands where you need to be lightened.
3.Stay outside in sunlight for about 30mins
4. Wash your hair as normally and dry
5. Do this few times until you achieve to results you expected.

So if you are happy with  the way you hair turned out, lets go and color it crazy shall we!

Kool-aid hair dyeing

Kool aid! yes yes! the refreshing drink!
I'm sure you have heard of this before, but didn't really try to do it.  I really don't know if there's a substitute for kool-aid for those who can't find them. If i came across something I will be happy to update this post.

Dyeing few strands,

You'll need,

- Few single packs of kool-aid
- A tall container
- Some water

Situation of my hair before I color!

 1. Boil some water and add few packs of kool-aid until you get the color you need.

Here's a chart of colors you can get by mixing different flavors kool-aid.

2. Wait till the water cool down and pour it in to a tall container.

3. Place your hair in to the container and.......wait!

First I was like,

But then,

I got tired lol

4. Wait 20 mins and wash your hair with conditioner.

Dyeing a large area

1. Mix some kool-aid powder with hair conditioner

2. When you achieve the right color, lather the paste on your hair

3. Wait 20 mins and wash the paste off.

Here's how my hair turned out,

DIY: Colour your hair with pastel chalk :]

Hello lovies :)

Last summer this was going all around everywhere.. like all the other trending I adopted this because I had blond hair last summer...WOOT! yes -.- and it damaged the hack outta my hair... noted my self not to do that ever again!
anyways, I tried it again on my black brown-ish whatever it is hair
and made a tutorial for all!

it's cheap, easy, non toxic and wash off easy!

:) you guys give it a try!!

p.s. I forgot to mention if you have curly/wavy hair I recommend twisting hair and then rubbing on the pastel chalk

Enjoy!

Natural beauty recipes

These are my top 5 natural beauty recipes :)

1. Exfoliating face scrub

2 tsp of Oatmeal and 1tsp of baking soda mixed with enough water to create a paste and apply this scrub after you wash your face with warm water. Massage your face for 30secs in circular motion and wash it off with luke warm water. Apply your favorite moisturizer.

2.  Green tea facial toner

Mix some green tea power with water or put a green tea bag in to hot water and let it cool down. Apply the mixture with a cotton ball before you put makeup or moisturizer on your face. It's best to make this fresh everyday.

3. Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Honey for soothing acne scars

Mix 2tsp of Honey with a teaspoon of Cinnamon and nutmeg. The consistency should be thick. Apply this paste and leave it for 15-30mins. Wash off with warm water scrubbing softly.

     4. Olive oil conditioning treatment
